Egyptian Ambassador to Turkey Abdulrahman Salahaddin returned to Cairo on Saturday due to the diplomatic spat between the two countries, caused by Turkish Premier's Recep Tayyip Erdogan interfering with Egypt's issues. Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs had decided last Saturday to withdraw its ambassador from Ankara, as a way to reject Erdogan's continuous attacks on the Egyptian government. The ministry had also told the Turkish Ambassador in Cairo to leave the country, saying that Egypt is intending to reduce the level of diplomatic relations with his country. The Turkish Ambassador left on Wednesday after being given one week to prepare himself. Turkey had also given a one week period of time for the Egyptian Ambassador to leave the country as a reaction. Salahaddin was already in Egypt for holding talks with the government since August 16, yet he returned to Ankara last Sunday to take the final procedures to leave Turkey. Source: KUNA
