Egyptian and Jordanian prime ministers stressed here on Tuesday the significance of promoting and developing bilateral cooperation to new horizons.
This took place during a joint press conference by Egyptian Prime Minister Hazem Al-Beblawi and his visiting Jordanian counterpart Abdullah Ensour following a joint committee meeting held here today to discuss future cooperation in several fields.
Ensour said his current visit to Egypt aimed to give a sign of Jordanian support for Egypt which is seeking to regain its influential role on the international arena.
He added that there are indications of improving security, stability and economic conditions in Egypt.
On his part, the Egyptian prime minister said the Egyptian-Jordanian committee had discussed aspects of cooperation in various fields, with nine cooperative agreements having been hammered out.
He believed that closer cooperation between Egypt and Jordan is a jumping-off for closer cooperation among Arab countries.
Thanking Jordan for supporting Egypt following June 30 events, the premier boasted that Egyptian workers in Jordan are a key element in the development of this Arab country.
