Dozens of anonymous people attacked Tahrir Square in the early hours of Tuesday morning, firing cartridges and bullets at protesters in tents located in the middle of the Square. Eyewitnesses told Arabstoday that \"about 30 people tried to break into the Square from the side of the Egyptian Museum and Kasr el-Nil Bridge and some protesters were injured following the violence.\" They added: \"Young protesters then immediately formed popular committees at the entrances of the Square to prevent any further breaking in attempts before the marches planned for Tuesday evening.\"
