Diyala Police Chief, Brigadier General Jassim al-Saadi, on Friday evening survived an assassination attempt in an explosion targeting his motorcade north of the city of Baquba, northeast Iraq.

A security source said the Diyala police chief survived an assassination explosion of three explosive devices in a conjunction attempt, targeted his motorcade on the road between Baquba and Khalis causing no injuries.
