UN-Arab League envoy to Syria Lakhdar Brahimi and UN Under-Secretary-General for Political Affairs Jeffrey Feltman started talks with US and Russian officials on Tuesday to assess prospects of peace talks in Geneva to end the Syrian conflict.
Also on Tuesday, Brahimi and Feltman will meet representatives of Britain, France and China.
UN spokeswoman Corinne Momal-Vanian has said Brahimi is scheduled to hold his third meeting today with officials from the nations affected by the Syrian conflict; Turkey, Iraq, Jordan and Lebanon plus the Arab League.
