Beirut – Riad Shouman
An unexploded bomb has been discovered outside Lebanon’s National Broadcasting Network (NBN) headquarters in al Janaah, Beirut, on Sunday.
Security officials cordoned off the area and disarmed the one-and-half kilogram explosive, which was left in a flower pot outside the building. Guards alerted police after discovering the device, following routine patrols. Security forces combed the area with sniffer dogs in search of other explosives.
Tensions have been high after two explosions on Friday outside mosques in Al-Zahiriya and Al-Mina left dozens dead.
