Vice President Joe Biden and President of the Iraqi Kurdistan Region Masoud Barzani on Tuesday discussed security challenges in Iraq and the need for close coordination between Irbil and Baghdad to isolate terrorist networks, the Vice President's office announced. Biden affirmed the US commitment to partner with Iraq against Al-Qaeda, the announcement said. Meanwhile, Biden congratulated Barzani on the recent passage of a law to govern Iraq's upcoming parliamentary elections.
