Hamas leading member Mahmoud al-Zahar said on Sunday that the US Secretary of State, John Kerry\'s visit to region ended without getting any agreement to resume the Israeli-Palestinian peace talks, and this was predictable, accusing President of Palestinian Authority Mahmoud Abbas of being \"deluded\" by US promises.
Al-Zahar referred to what was published by Israeli daily Maariv, which revealed on Sunday that resolution was passed by the Israeli ministry of housing and municipality in occupied Jerusalem in favour of construction of 930 colonial settlements in Jebel Abu Ghoneim to be sold to Israeli settlers at low rates.
Maariv added that the occupation municipality endorses the deal Monday, with the Israeli ministry of housing regarding reduction of colonial unit prices in Jebel Abu Ghoneim in order to issue a resolution for work to go ahead.
Al-Zahar added that Kerry is \"making fun of the Palestinians\" by putting the Israel-Palestine peace talks on the table to gain points.
He also said that the Palestinian authority is the responsible for not achieving anything in favour of the Palestinian people from Kerry’s visit.
