Two separate armed clashes in northern Afghanistan left nine Taliban militants dead late at night on Tuesday. Faryab security officials said Taliban militants had opened fire on Afghan police officers patroling near the city of Maymana, leading to a conflict killing five of the militants. Meanwhile, another clash between Taliban militants and police officers in the Kunduz Province claimed the lives of four other militants. The Kunduz Police Department stated that a Taliban militant had also been wounded in the incident which had taken place in the Imam Sahip district. Source: Anadolu Agency
