A Syrian warplane struck targets near the border with Lebanon, killing at least nine people, including several women and children, and leaving nine more injured.  The air strike on the town of Arsal in Lebanon’s eastern Bekaa region was confirmed by security officials who said six of the dead were from the same family. The attack was allegedly targeting the opposition-held Syrian town of Yabroud just across the border from Arsal.  The area is known to house many refugees from the Syrian town of Qusayr, which was captured by Syrian forces in June following battles that destroyed much of the town.
