The Armed Forces announced on Saturday they have destroyed seven new tunnels on the border line with Gaza and arrested four criminal elements who were monitoring the movements of the army and police in Rafah.
Three vehicles and four motorbikes laden with smuggled commodities were also seized in the campaign.
In the western military zone, border guards in cooperation with the Air Force destroyed four vehicles in Bahr Al-Remal area while they have been infiltrating into the Egyptian borders from south Siwa Oasis.
A Jeep laden with 155 birdhunt guns and more than one million Tramadol pills were also seized on the Libyan-Egyptian borders.
Also, four vehicles laden with 11,900 carcinogenic cigarettes and 186 infiltrators were nabbed in Salloum district.
Border guards in the zone of the 3rd Field Army in Suez Gulf coasts arrested two vehicles carrying two tons of marijuana on Suez-Ain Al-Sokhna road.
