Police arrested 33 suspects, wanted criminals and fugitives in a security campaign launched in North Sinai, said a security source on Sunday.

About 294 traffic violations were recorded in North Sinai.

The campaign is part of the Interior Ministry's efforts to restore security to the Sinai Peninsula.

All legal measures have been taken against the arrested, he added.
