Three inmates at a prison in western Yemen died Sunday following the outbreak of violence and a fire. A security source told Arabstoday the three prisoners at the Hadida Central Prison died of suffocation due to a fire which erupted in the prison that has been experiencing a mutiny by inmates protesting prison management. The source also said nine more prisoners were taken to hospital with various injuries which they sustained on the same occasion. He said local authorities had ordered an investigation into the incident.
