Clashes between Lebanese political party Amal and Palestinian Salafists broke out in west Lebanon on Wednesday, security sources have said.
Both sides opened fire and two bombs were detonated during the conflict, wounding two people. The fighting seized following an intervention by the Lebanese army.
Initial reports from the region claim the skirmish was sparked after press statements were made by each group.
The Amal Movement is a Lebanese political party associated with Lebanon's Shia community. The party is currently in alliance with Hezbollah.
