Two rockets from the Gaza Strip were fired into open areas in the occupied Palestine 48 on Monday morning, Israeli (Channel 2) reported, claiming no injuries or damage was caused. On the other hand, Israel strengthened security measures to secure the funeral of former Israeli prime minister Ariel Sharon which will take place near the border with the Gaza Strip today. Occupation authorities warned the sacked Palestinian government and Hamas movement not to allow rocket fire during the funeral, which US Vice President Joe Biden will attend. A memorial service will be held today in the Knesset, followed by a funeral on the Sharon family farm, about 10 kilometres from Gaza. Channel 2 television reported that Israel redeployed its Iron Dome rocket interceptor for improved protection of the farm, which has been hit by rockets in the past. Source: QNA
