Two suicide bombers hiding in an ambulance fired rocket-propelled grenades at a local police station in Egypt\'s Sinai Peninsula on Tuesday, security sources said. The attack was followed by clashes between militants and the Egyptian army in Sheikh Zuweid, the Bedouin town between Arish and Rafah. Sources said that police officers inspecting the aftermath found the remains of two suicide bombers, along with explosives and weapons used in the attack. They also discovered explosives in another car parked near the police station. Egypt\'s Sinai Peninsula, which shares borders with both Israel and the Palestinian Gaza Strip, has seen almost daily attacks by unknown assailants since the military overthrow of elected President Mohammed Morsi on July 3.
