A new study by Iranian scientists suggested that diabetics may benefit from Vitamin D enriched yogurt.
Sakineh Shab-Bidar and his colleagues found that the vitamin D-fortified yogurt resulted in improved cholesterol and endothelial biomarkers of diabetics.
\"Most of our patients were deficient in vitamin D at the start of the trial but the fortified yogurt drink elevated most of their levels to normal,\" Abolghassem Jazayery, one of the researchers, said.
