South Korea vowed Monday to try to eradicate malaria and four other infectious diseases in five years as it unveiled measures meant to improve public health. The health and welfare ministry also said it will try to ensure outbreaks of the five infectious diseases will occur in less than one person out of every one million people in case a complete eradication is not possible.
