State Minister for Cabinet Affairs and Health Minister Sheikh Muhammad Abdullah al-Sabah discussed on Tuesday an array of health issues with Parliamentary Undersecretary of State for Quality at the Department of Health in the United Kingdom Lord Howe. Lord Howe is visiting the country along with a delegation made up of officials representing British hospitals, clinics, and medical centers. There will be meetings between the British guests and their counterparts at the Kuwaiti Ministry of Health aimed at reaching agreements toward availing Kuwaitis of the advanced medical facilities and expertise in the UK, said the Kuwaiti minister in a press statement, following his meeting with Lord Howe and the delegation accompanying him. Kuwait\'s interest lies in either sending patients for treatment in UK health facilities or being able to host great numbers of UK health professionals in Kuwait regularly, said the minister, noting that Kuwait was keen on garnering medical expertise from many parts of the world, with the present concentration now being on the UK. Lord Howe, in a similar statement to the press, said that his meeting today with his Kuwaiti host dealt with an expansive number of issues that would facilitate the cooperation between the two countries in matters of health care
