Kuwaiti Health Minister Muhammad Barak al-Haifi, in a meeting with Iranian Ambassador to Kuwait Ruhollah Qahremani on Monday, called for the expansion of medical and pharmaceutical cooperation with Iran.During the meeting in Kuwait City today, the Kuwaiti health minister and the Iranian envoy explored avenues for broadening mutual scientific and academic cooperation between the two neighboring and Muslim countries, specially in medical and pharmaceutical fields.Al-Haifi voiced interest in the enhancement of medical and pharmaceutical ties with Iran, and said that he is satisfied with the performance of the Iranian medical and nursing staff who are currently working in Kuwait.The Iranian ambassador to Kuwait, for his part, invited al-Haifi to pay a visit to Iran to closely see Iran\'s capabilities and medical advancements in the medical field in the near future.Qahremani noted that hundreds of Iranian nurses and paramedics are working in Kuwait\'s hospitals, and said Iran is ready to send more skilled medical staff to the Arab country.Iran and Kuwait have sought to expand bilateral ties through exchanging several high-ranking delegations in recent months.
