A team of Egyptian surgeons and nursing staff was allowed into the Gaza Strip Thursday to carry out number of heart surgeries for Palestinian patients in the Gaza Strip. The move, supported by the Egyptian Medical Syndicate, was welcomed by Hamas health minister Mufid Mukhalalati who said that further cooperation with Egyptian doctors is expected to carry out more surgeries for Palestinian patients. He added that the visit of Egyptian specialists helps not only Palestinian patients who are in desperate need but also provides technical and scientific support for local doctors. The team was led by Egyptian Cardiovascular Consultant and member of Medical Syndicate Dr. Ahmed Unsi and International Relations Officer in the Syndicate Ismail Abu Dahab.
