Daesh coalition meeting in US

Martin Dempsey, the chairman of the U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff, met with senior defense officials of 21 countries taking part in the international coalition against Daesh.
The participating top brass are from Australia, Bahrain, Belgium, Britain, Canada, Denmark, Egypt, France, Germany, Iraq, Italy, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Spain, Turkey and the United Arab Emirates, Pentagon spokesman Steve Warren.
The spokesman said the meeting of milit­ary leaders was meant to “align the unique capabilities” of the various countries contributing to the coal­ition.
“It is an opportunity to take stock of coalition progress,” Colon­el Warren said.
US President Barack Obama also met with the participants in the meeting.
