Light sweet crude oil advanced in early trading Wednesday on the New York Mercantile Exchange, adding 21 cents to $93.88 a barrel. Natural gas prices were off 3 cents, to $2.932 per million British thermal units. Reformulated blendstock gasoline picked up just more than a penny to $2.0062 a gallon. Home heating oil was up 1 cent to $3.01 a gallon. At the pump, the average cost for a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline was $3.647 Wednesday, up from $3.634 on Tuesday, AAA reported.
