Tired of kicking and yelling at the ATM machine when it stalls? Now you can see and speak to an actual bank teller the next time a machine swallows your card. The video call centre technology will allow a bank agent to talk customers through technical problems at ATMs. For the first time in the GCC, business communication systems provider Avaya will introduce the technology to select banks in Dubai, vice president of emerging markets Nidal Abou Ltaif, told Gulf News. \"Video is the next technology in call centres,\" he said. Traditional bank call centres are a source of frustration for many customers as they explain their complaint or inquiry to various agents. The video call centre will be introduced to the market during Gitex 2011 in October, he added. The technology can also be used by other companies that require explaining to customers how to configure devices or talk them through a process, Abou Ltaif said.
