The Salafist Al-Watan party rejected Wednesday verdicts issued by an Alexandria misdemeanor court against 14 female protesters with 11 years and one month in jail. A statement issued late Wednesday, the party also condemned the arrest of former judge Mahmoud el-Khodiery on "unfounded charges." El-Khodiery was arrested on Monday over torture charges.
