Students clashed with the soldiers, throwing rocks at them.

Israeli forces blocked on Thursday roads leading to the Abu Dis campus of Al-Quds University and three area schools east of Jerusalem behind the apartheid wall and therefore disrupting education, according to a local activist.

He said that the soldiers set up checkpoints and prevented students from reaching their colleges and schools, including an elementary school.

Students clashed with the soldiers, throwing rocks at them, and the soldiers responded by firing tear gas and rubber bullets at the students. There were no immediate reports of injuries.
