The EU delegation in Cairo organized on Monday, in cooperation with the Egyptian scientific research ministry, a day of innovation par of Horizon 2020.

Around 300 European representatives participated in the event.

Horizon2020 is the European Union's main financial instrument for funding research during the years 2014-2020.

It focuses on three key pillars to support different kinds of projects for research and technological development.

Once a year, the European Commission publishes different "Work Programs" that include the current "Calls for Proposals."
