Affairs Minister Ali bin Mohammed Al Rumaihi

The Ministry of Information has finalized preparations for parliamentary and municipal elections on November 24 following the Royal Order of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa setting the national elections date on November 24.

According to the directives of Information Affairs Minister Ali bin Mohammed Al Rumaihi, the technical preparations to implement the comprehensive plan for live television broadcast from the ballot stations in all four governorates via vehicle-mounted external relay, satellite and microwave studios in addition to direct connection of all electoral supervisory stations with the main studio, said Abdullah Ahmed Al Balushi, Assistant Undersecretary for Technical Affairs at the Information Ministry.

He stressed the importance of the technical and technological  aspects to facilitate transmission of Bahrain's democratic elections to viewers around the world that reflects the Kingdom’s civilizational progress. 

The Elections Media Centre will be equipped to implement live programme shows in addition to the  press conferences auditorium, the provision of direct broadcast for correspondents and representatives of news agencies and satellite channels, linking all the services with external relay vans and direct satellite transmission coverage until announcement of the results of parliamentary and municipal elections by the Ministry of Justice, he also said.
