A creative blend of wood and steel, the Moji Residence envisioned by Patina Design Architects is an example of inspiring modern living. Protected by imposing trees that enrich Bainbridge Island, in the state of Washington, USA, the crib is a perfect refuge for its inhabitants. The L-shaped project was developed around a central patio, especially created for dining and recreation. Its wooden exterior resembles that of a mountain chalet, giving away a perpetual holiday feel. Despite the elegance and minimalism which define the interiors of Moji Residence, this is a place exuding warmth throughout. An open plan living and dining room acts as the core of the house, with wood playing a major role in the design scheme. A container was ingeniously added to the design, resulting in a perfect home office surrounded by forest views. A master bedroom on the first level completes the serene image of this fantastic retreat. Source: freshome
