Perfumer Sergio Momo, founder of Italian perfume house Xerjoff, has unveiled new fragrance 1888 from Casamorati. Based on a previously unreleased blend from the ancient perfume house, it has taken over a year and a half to create this new scent. Containing notes of fresh spices, rare flowers and precious woods, the newest addition to the XJ Casamorati collection contains top notes of clove, green pepper and Iranian saffran, middle notes of Bulgarian rose from Grasse, Moroccan neroli and Indonesian ylang-ylang, while Russian birch tree, Mysore sandalwood, patchouli and amber are at the base. Casamorati 1888 will be available exclusively from Fortnum & Mason in late November, priced at £230 for 75ml.
