The Lebanese fashion designer has unveiled a new women's scent inspired by his haute couture creations. Elie Saab has created a new fragrance for women set to hit stores at the end of the month. The brand is calling the scent "the olfactory continuation of the designer's Ready-to-Wear 2014 Spring-Summer collection" inspired by ethereal fabrics, blossoming nature and fresh urban environments. Celebrated nose Francis Kurkdjian was behind the scent. "The idea to create a Couture 'Eau' is quite uncommon in this register," he explained. "It's a sophisticated, sensual freshness, far removed from the conventions found in fragrances usually created in this repertoire." The perfume opens with citrus top notes, including Calabrian Bergamot, mixed with floral magnolia, rose and lemon. The heart blends orange blossom and green almond, while the fragrance is rounded out with a base of vanilla. Launching on January 27 in France and the United Arab Emirates, L'Eau Couture eau de toilette sprays will be available in three sizes: 30 ml (€43), 50 ml (€64) and 90 ml (€89). It will hit the rest of the world from April onwards. Source: Relaxnews
