November 27 sees the opening of Louis Vuitton's new store in Vienna, marking the luxury label's first shop in Austria to offer the brand's full product range. Located in the Tuchlauben district, a centre renowned for its tailors and drapers, the retail space was designed by architect Peter Marino, featuring teak floors, hand-made lacquers and silk carpet to create the atmosphere of a gentleman's club. Housing a number of salons, one area is dedicated to women and men's leather goods, while intimate rooms are available for clients to try on accessories, small leather goods and travel items. The store also offers an area dedicated to Art of Travel, which features a collection of vintage trunks, cases, hat boxes, trolleys and bags, celebrating the label's links to voyages across the world. The second floor will open in March, offering women's ready-to-wear and a separate space housing watches and jewellery.
