Russia's President Vladimir Putin will meet US President Barack Obama during his visit to the UN in New York next week, as well as Japan's Premier Shinzo Abe, his spokesman said Thursday.

"The conversation with Japanese Premier Abe has been set, after which the conversation with Obama is set," spokesman Dmitry Peskov was quoted as saying by Russian news agencies.
