Transport Minister Hisham Arafat on Monday received experts of the EU Transport Sector Policy Support Program to discuss a report on the land transport problems in Egypt.

The meeting also dealt with ways to overcome those problems and to ensure traffic safety.

The report identified the most urgent priorities regarding problems of road transport and procedures for overcoming in the short and long terms.

It also urges issuing a new law on transportation and training cadres of road transport to improve service and to enhance competitiveness of the national sector.
