A police station in an illegal settlement.

Abdul Rahman Ali Abu Jamal, 17, from Jabal al-Mukabber neighborhood of occupied East Jerusalem, died on Tuesday of wounds sustained after he was shot and critically wounded last week following an alleged stabbing attack.

Police claimed Abu Jamal attacked officers at a police station in an illegal settlement built on Jabal al-Mukabber land, lightly injuring two policemen before he was shot and critically wounded until he was pronounced dead on Tuesday at an Israeli hospital in West Jerusalem, where he has been held since the Wednesday night alleged attack.

Police raided the Abu Jamal home on Thursday morning after the alleged attack and first detained his mother, then came back in the afternoon to arrest his father, two brothers and sister. The family was told that their home was going to be demolished.
