Saudi singer Mohammed Abdo, who was admitted to hospital in France after a cerebral  thrombosis, is in a stable condition, a source close to the singer said. “Abdo’s condition is stable and is responding to the treatment,” Saudi art critic Yahya Mufreh Zaraiqan said on Wednesday. Mufreh added that 62-year old Abdo will be shifted to another hospital for better treatment in two days. “Constant stress resulting from continuous travel and performances is the cause of the current health problem of the most popular Saudi singer. Medical examinations revealed that he suffered blood clots,” he said. “The next stage in his  treatment is expected to produce positive developments in his health,” the critic said, quoting Abdo’s daughter Noura. She said her father’s music programs would be suspended for the time being until he fully recovers. Unconfirmed reports that Abdo was in a coma have been spreading in Saudi Arabia and other Gulf countries. The last public appearance by the most popular Arab singer was at the opening of the Janadriya festival in Riyadh.
