Redur Khalil, spokesman of the Kurdish People's Protection
Tehran - FNA

Redur Khalil, spokesman of the Kurdish People's Protection Units (YPG) in Syria's Kurdistan region, disclosed that the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) Takfiri terrorists have been using banned weapons in their recent attacks on the town of Kobani.
"The terrorists have used banned weapons in their recent attacks," Khalil told FNA on Tuesday.
He noted that the scars on the dead bodies of the YPG forces who have been killed in the warfronts with the ISIL militants indicate that the terrorists have used unconventional weapons to break the resistance of Kobani defenders.
"We need heavy weapons for driving the terrorists out of the region, we do not need dispatch of forces because we have our own fighters who can change the balance of war against the terrorists in the region if they have weapons," Khalil said.
The YPG spokesman pointed to the recent stances of the Turkish government on regional developments, and said, "The government of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has so far adopted a dual-approach policy towards regional developments and Ankara's stances on ISIL terrorists are not transparent and all the forces who have come from abroad and joined the ranks of ISIL terrorists have entered Syria through Turkey."
The YPG spokesman further asked for the formation of a regional front against ISIL, and said these are the regional nations who should form a coalition against the terrorist group, and not those states that are from outside the region.
On Saturday, Deputy Head of the YPG Owj Alan Issou said SIL militants have been pounding Kobani with massive artillery fire after they were forced to retreat from the city.
"Over 1,000 artillery and mortar rounds have been fired at the center of Kobani city since yesterday as a result of which a large number of civilian people have been killed and injured inside the city," Issou told FNA.
Stressing that the YPG forces are still continuing their resistance, he said the terrorists have withdrawn from most parts of the town. "Yet, they are still in control of 20% of the city and the YPG forces are planning to attack the terrorists in those regions."
Asked about the role of the coalition forces in fighting the ISIL, Issou said most of the coalition airstrikes are staged around the city, "but they don’t attack the terrorists outside the city where the terrorists are trafficking and transferring their forces towards the city and therefore, the terrorists are trying to break the people's resistance with a rather intact level of power".
He warned that the terrorists will massacre the people of Kobani in case they manage to capture the city, and urged those states which help the ISIL, specially Turkey, to cut their arms aid to the terrorist group.
"The documents carried by those terrorists who have been killed show that they are mostly foreigners and come from Chechnya, Turkey, Morocco, Egypt, Belgium and France to Syria and their passports have all been sealed in Turkey," Issou said.
