Iraq's Nineveh Council has announced that Iraqi forces fully liberated the northern city of al-Qayyarah from ISIS group control and raised the Iraqi flag over its buildings. "Iraqi Army, supported by the Iraqi Air Force, liberated the northern city of al-Qayyarah from ISIS control and raised the Iraqi flag over its buildings," media reports quoted Nineveh Council member, Hossam El Din al Abbar as saying in a statement, . 

    "The sappers units have started dismantling the improvised explosive devices from roads and dismantling the booby-trapped houses", added Alabbar. "There were 25,000 civilians inside Qayyarah during the liberation operation. The operation resulted in the death of dozens of ISIS members," Alabbar further said.
