At least eleven people including three policemen and woman were injured in a blast reportedly targeting a police van in southwestern Balochistan province of Pakistan on Thursday, police said.
According to a police officer, Mir Ahmed, an improvised explosive device (IED) was planted in a bicycle parked outside the residence of a government official near Chaman area. The blast was so powerful that it was heard far and wide. The injured include six passersby as well.
Security forces immediately cordoned off the scene and a search operation went underway. The injured were shifted to the nearby Civil Hospital where condition of few people was reported critical.
