Gal Gadot isn't bothered by criticism of her body.
The 29-year-old actress dismissed claims she is too thin and small-busted to portray Wonder Woman in an interview with Israeli website Ynet. Gadot will debut as the superhero in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and admitted it is impossible to please every fan.
"When I was younger I would take criticism really hard, but now it mostly amuses me," she related. "The true Amazons had one boob so it wouldn't bother them in their archery, so it's not going to be like real Amazons [anyway]. We always try to make everyone happy but we can't."
"They asked me here, in Israel, if I have eating disorders and why I am so skinny," she shared. "They said my head was too big and my body was like a broomstick. I can take anything. It's just empty talk. I understand that part of what I'm doing means being exposed [to criticism]."
Batman v Superman director Zack Snyder previously praised Gadot as "an amazing actress," and declared she has "that magical quality that makes her perfect for the role." Gadot appeared as Wonder Woman in her first official photo for the movie in July 2014.
Gadot came to fame as a model and won Miss Israel in 2004. The actress is known for playing Gisele Yashar in Fast & Furious and sequels Fast Five and Fast & Furious 6, and also had roles in Date Night with Steve Carell and Knight and Day with Tom Cruise.
