Shayne Lamas is in a coma, loses her baby

Actress Shayne Lamas, who was 16 weeks pregnant, has suffered a miscarriage and is now in a coma, TMZ said Monday. The 28-year-old reality TV personality was rushed to the hospital Sunday night after she collapsed in the Ocean County home she shares with her husband Nik Richie, founder of TheDirty.com. TMZ said doctors at an undisclosed hospital determined she was bleeding internally around her uterus. Her baby died during surgery. Although Lamas is in a coma and breathing with the help of a ventilator, doctors are optimistic about her recovery, the celebrity news website said. No other details were immediately available. Lamas, daughter of actor Lorenzo Lamas, is best known for her work on the soap opera "General Hospital," as well as her appearances on the reality shows "The Bachelor" and "Leave it to Lamas."
