Now Shah Rukh going soft on rival Salman

Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan may have been staying poles apart from each other but through their statement it looks like the two big Khans of the industry are inching towards each other. Last week talking to an Indian daily Salman Khan said that he wishes good for Shah Rukh Khan and wants his films to do well. Now it's Shah Rukh Khan's turn; in a statement to the press SRK said that the Salman-Katrina Kaif pairing is “wonderful”. This comment comes at the sidelines of Tag Heuer event when Shah Rukh was asked about the chemistry shared between Salman-Katrina in 'Ek Tha Tiger', reports Hindustan Times. The actor said he was not sure about the chemistry but the two make a wonderful pair. Shah Rukh went on to wish them good luck for their soon-to-be-released movie. Shah Rukh's statements are quite complimentary despite the fact that his and Salman’s relationship can be described as cold, at best. 'Ek Tha Tiger' will be Salman-Katrina's fourth film together after 'Maine Pyaar Kyu Kiya', 'Partner' and 'Yuvraj'. Not long ago arch rival Salman and Shah Rukh would not let an interview or press conference go by without taking dig at each other. The hostility shared between the two actors seems to be now mellowing down. But all this wishes are purely professional; their personal equation has not been great for the past few years. Nevertheless, some start is better than the bitter feeling they harbour. Could this be considered as a step taken by the Khans to make amends? For those who don’t remember the trouble between the two superstars erupted nearly two years ago at Katrina Kaif’s birthday bash, where the verbal sparring almost headed towards fisticuffs before Aamir Khan intervened and broke them apart. After few years Shah Rukh went on to apologise for his actions on filmmaker Karan Johar’s talk show, 'Koffee With Karan'. But Salman did not accept an apology expressed at a TV chat show. Understood, but perhaps Shah Rukh did not want to apologise directly but this is his way of trying to break the ice. Whatever may be their personal equation but as movie lovers fans want these two entertainers to entertain them.
