he granddaughter of Italian Fascist dictator Benito Mussolini confirmed Friday she will be running for prime minister in next year's elections. Alessandra Mussolini made the announcement after former Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi decided he would not run, Italy's ANSA news agency reported. She will be the center-right People of Freedom's candidate. Mussolini, 50, said she will fight to improve conditions for children and mothers who "live a hellish life" while parliament "doesn't give much of a hoot about them, by and large."
