
The Miss Universe crown was bestowed on Miss Venezuela Gabriela Isler Saturday night in Moscow. The 25-year-old beauty beat out 85 other contestants to take the title held for the past year by American Olivia Culpo, the Russian news agency RIA Novosti reported. First runner-up honors went to Miss Spain Patricia Yurena Rodriguez and second runner-up was Miss Ecuador Constanza Baez. The other finalists were from Costa Rica, Ukraine, China, Britain, Indonesia, Venezuela, Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, the United States, Nicaragua, Switzerland, India, Brazil and the Philippines. It was the first time the Miss Universe pageant, owned by U.S. businessman Donald Trump, was held in Russia.
