Mega Millions jackpot estimated at $400m

The nationwide Mega Millions lottery announced Tuesday night's drawing has an estimated jackpot of $400 million. Mega Millions said the 11 p.m. EDT drawing in Atlanta has an estimated jackpot of $400 million, meaning a jackpot winner could claim a $224 million in a lump sum, the Boston Globe reported Tuesday. The Globe said potential purchases for a $400 million winner include the Florida Panthers hockey team, valued at $240 million by Forbes, and naming rights to a sports stadium, which Forbes said Minute Maid paid the Houston Astros $170 million to obtain.
