Jamie Dornan says wife Amelia Warner won't be watching Fifty Shades of Grey.
The 32-year-old actor revealed Warner doesn't want to see the film in an interview with USA Today. Dornan portrays Christian Grey, a businessman with a predilection for BDSM, in the movie, and shot several sex scenes with co-star Dakota Johnson.
"She doesn't want to watch this," he shared. "She wants to support me and my work. I won't be able to sit there myself. I am not going to put any pressure on her either way. It's her decision. She's well aware that it's pretend, but it's probably not that comfortable to watch."
Dornan and Warner married in April 2013, and welcomed their first child, daughter Dulcie, in November 2013. The English actress, also 32, chose to support her husband by accompanying him to several of the film's premieres instead.
Fifty Shades of Grey is based on the E.L. James erotic novel of the same name. The movie is directed by Sam Taylor-Johnson, and opens in theaters Friday. Dornan reportedly confirmed sequels Fifty Shades Darker and Fifty Shades Freed will be adapted for film last week.
Dornan is also known for playing Sheriff Graham Humbert on ABC series Once Upon a Time and Paul Spector on BBC Two crime drama The Fall. Warner appeared in such films as Mansfield Park and Aeon Flux, and also performs music as Slow Moving Millie.
