James Franco debuts bleach-blond look on Instagram

James Franco is now blond.

The 36-year-old actor took to Instagram Monday to share a photo of his new "late 90s bleached look." The pic finds the 127 Hours star posing for the camera in a red t-shirt and new gold tresses.
Franco's new look is a far cry from the tame brown hairstyle he sported for the New York City premiere of his upcoming drama, Child of God, on July 30. The Oscar-nominated actor will direct and star as a sociopath named Jerry in the upcoming film about a violent man's life and his "disastrous attempt to exist outside the social order."
It's still unknown if Franco's new hair style is part of a costume for a new role.
