'Gatsby,' 'Hustle' advance in makeup and hair Oscar race

Seven features have advanced in the race for the makeup and hairstyling Oscar, Hollywood's Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced. The films eligible for nomination in the category next month are: "American Hustle" "Dallas Buyers Club" "The Great Gatsby" "Hansel & Gretel Witch Hunters" "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire" "Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa" "The Lone Ranger" The list will be whittled down to three films and announced Jan. 16 when all Oscar nominations are revealed. Winners will be announced at a ceremony March 2.
