French Stewart's wife gives birth to their daughter

Television actor French Stewart says his wife Vanessa has given birth to their first child, a daughter named Helene Claire, in West Hollywood, Calif. The baby was born June 28, People.com reported Wednesday. "She was born six weeks early and could be held in the palm of your hand," Stewart said. "We named her after my lovely mother. My sister is also a Helene," the former "3rd Rock from the Sun" star said. "There are five wonderful Claires in Vanessa's family so the tradition of it is very special for us." Stewart's new sitcom "Mom" is to premiere Sept. 23 on CBS.
