Fred' star Lucas Cruikshank confirms he is gay in YouTube video

U.S. actor and Internet personality Lucas Cruikshank confirmed he is gay in a video posted on YouTube Tuesday. Cruikshank, 19, is known for his work on the Disney Channel show "Jessie," as well as in a string of popular "Fred" viral videos. Cruikshank made his announcement as the answer to the fan question, "Are you gay?" "I am gay," he replied, while curled up in bed next to a female friend. "My family and friends have known for like three years, I just hadn't felt the need to announce it on the Internet." "You are so red," his pal noted. "I feel awkward," Cruikshank laughed. "When you first met me, did you know I was gay?" The friend grinned and said, "Yeah because you were like, 'Hey!'"
